What version of Outlook? is it in the deleted folder? if not, are you using
Exchange server?

I am using Outlook 2003, it is not in the deleted folder (I so wished it
was!) and I am not on an Exchange server.... I think it's gone. :-(

Not necessarily. How did you "accidentally delete" this DL? Is the entire DL
missing from your Contacts Folder or did you simply delete the members?

I was going in to delete one member and hit the 'x' at the top of the page,
and just like that, the list disappeared...I thought I had a higlighted name
chosen, but when I hit the x it's gone - and the list is no longer in
contacts....

Odd.
One of the many bugs in DL's is that if you delete one member, you delete
them all. When that happens, the DL's "shell" remains in the PST file. Once
you delete that, the entire DL with members intact will appear in your
Deleted Items Folder and can easily be restored.
If your DL is not in your PST file nor in your Deleted Items Folder, it is
toast. You will need to restore from a backup of your PST file. If you don't
back up your PST file, I bet you will now.

Thanks I will check it out and find the pst file. I do have a back up - but
in this case, I had just changed computers - moved the file from old to new
and had just completed a total update of contact details and added names etc
to the 'new' system. I was deleting one duplicate - and wham! all the update
work is right out the door. Thanks for your help! I do appreciate it and will
check for my pst....have a good one!

When you "moved" the PST, you didn't import it, did you? If so, your DL
would be toast.
