I am not able to customize my toolbars

john

When I customize my toolbar it does not remember the toolbar the next time I
open powerpoint.

Everybody else in our office can customize the toolbars and its remembers.
They have tired doing it on mine and it did not work. What could be wrong
with my computer?

I have tried reinstalling office that did not help. Should format my PC
and reload everything? Hope somebody can help.

I am using Windows XP Pro and Office XP Standard Edition on a IBM Thinkpad
R51 laptop

What are you currently doing?

Open PPT
Go to TOOLS >> CUSTOMIZE
Add the Tools bars and hidden tools (by dragging to tool bar of your choice)
Quit out of PPT to 'lock' the customization

Where are you experiencing a problem?

Try locating your current .PCB file and deleting it. You will probably find it
at
C:\Documents and Settings\yourid\Application
Data\Microsoft\PowerPoint\PPT11.pcb.
PowerPoint will recreate the file when you open it and a fresh start may help.
