I am not getting my delivery receipt or read reciept, what is wron

I have it set up but nothing happens. I have no idea what else to try. I am
using Outlook 2003 and just paid so I can use hotmail through it. I use this
account for business so I need proof that the emails were sent and read. Can
anyone think why it is not working or what am I doing wrong.

many users have their options on outlok set to not responde to read receipts
, if their options are set like this you wont get on even if your request it

as a test make sure your setting are turned on to responde to read receipts
and send yourself a email. if you get a read receipt back then its the
reciving company who have them disabled

Thanks for the info and I tried what you suggested but even I'm not getting the requests to myself. I've tried the 'fix and repair' in the help mode but nothing is working....any other suggestions????
