Looks like your editor missed 4 newsletters this year. I believe that is
grounds for termination.

Also...at least for July, your newsletters look like bad copies from a copy
machine scanned in and ported to PDF. What's up with that?

There are two styles, the current year and those of 2004 and before. This
is due to a new editor in 2005.
Our Computer Club's newsletters are produced with Publisher 2003 and
converted to a pdf using Adobe Acrobat 6 Pro. Links are added to the table
of contents and page connectors. All URLs are also live.

I haven't missed an issue since the inaugural issue of March 2001. Be aware
that the text is large to accommodate our aging population.

I produce 6 newsletters per year for the local chapter of an organization
and 5 newsletters a year for the region. You are welcome to contact me
offline as well.

Rob, I just checked using Firefox, Opera 8, NN 7 and IE 6. They worked in
all four.

Don,

When I bought another newspaper a few years ago, I inherited the old
files. That paper did quite a bit of legal advertising. The layout
"artist" scanned faxes of ordinances, saved them as an eps and placed
them into Quark. At least she scanned the monthly newsletter from the
original paper.

I think I'm using 5...they're visible just not clickable.
I thought links were always supported in pdfs...i know I have a pdf that is ancient and it has active links in it.

| Rob, me thinks you are using a version of Adobe Reader older than version 6
| if the links were not working for you. They did for me.

Well, THAT would explain THAT.

Then, having him output it to a pdf would be out of the question :))
