I can send but not receive email

I get two error messages. One says "Message could not be retreived from
server" and the other says the "TCP/IP error occured while trying to send
data to server Eroor #0x800ccc13". I tried deleting the server from OE but
I still cannot receive emails in OL.

Any ideas?

Actually, the link was for Outlook 2002, but that doesn't mean it might not
apply to OL 2000, since it's actually an issue in the files that Outlook and
Outlook Express share.

It's always a good idea to state your Outlook version up-front so people
don't have to guess.

Yes, sorry, I realized I didn't specify OL until after I sent the message. I
did try the link you provided to no avail.

Been having problems with e-mail since installation of Q889293. Using
Windows 2000, Outlook 2000. All patches up to date, although 2000 is no
longer a fully supported product, I know. Get one or two incoming messages,
then connection fails in Outlook with error message 0x800ccc13. Did some
research: looks like IE patch Q889293 may be in conflict with Outlook Express
patch Q823353. Any suggestions on this one? (Already checked
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;312349 before I
checked here). - BR
