I cannot add extra rows to a downloaded table. The edit is locked

Please can anyone tell me how to unlock a table that is preformatted as I
need to add extra rows, which it does not allow me to do.

The document may have been "protected" to allow only comments, or only
form field entries. Look on the Tools menu. If there's an item that
says Unprotect Document (instead of Protect Document), try it.
