I cannot find "application data" subdirectory with MSWord template

I want to copy MSWORD templates from an old computer to the template
subdirectory in a new computer. I know, from using the "Save as" selection on
a loaded existing template file in the new computer that the path is:
Documents & Settings/myname/Application Data/Microsoft/Templates. The
Applications Data link in this path is hidden when I use Windows Explorer to
copy the files from the old computer to the new one. Also, I would like my
personal templates to be more accessible, not 6 layers deep in an obscure
location.

Please help.
