I just reinstalled Office 2000 after a hard drive reformat and al is fine
EXCEPT I cannot find the toolbar icons to add/remove columns and rows. I have
looked in the usual places with no luck. Can anyone help?

Sincere thanks

These icons aren't shown when you load excel--but you can customize your
toolbar(s) to show them.

Tools|customize|Commands Tab
Edit Category
Look for Delete rows/delete columns.
Insert Category
Look for Insert rows/insert columns.

And did you know that you only need one of each. If you shift-click on insert
rows, you'll get delete rows.

PS. You may want to back up your *.xlb file. This is where excel stores your
customized toolbars. Then if something goes wrong (either a corrupted *.xlb
file or you have to reformat again), you can restore it from your backup.
