I cannot get rid of tracked changes, why?

six-I have used the microsoft help but was unsucessful in getting rid of the
tracked changes using the reviewing toolbar, the accept change and reject
change keys will not activate. Any one know why?

Probably because the document is protected, in which case document
revision is only available authorized users (in the correct group or
with the correct password, depending on protection method).

Find protect/unprotect in the "tools" menu.
