I cannot install MS Office Ultimate 2007 from disc.

I have a student version disc of the Ultimate Steal-MS Office 2007 Ultimate,
but it WILL NOT load, no matter what I do (uninstall previous versions, safe
mode install, virus protection off install. etc.) and I'm at my wits end.
This has been going on for a year! I'm running Win Vista Premium w/SP1 on a
Dell Dimension E521 w/Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ 1.90 Ghz, 1GB
RAM, 32-bit OS & 233GB free HDD space. I have a DVD drive plus a CD/DVD RW
drive and neither will install the disc.

When you say "will not load" what EXACTLY do you mean? What EXACTLY happens
when you try?
