I cannot open documents as window installer intrudes and does not.

Whenever I attempt to open a document, the window installer begins operating,
indicates that it is not installed. When I close the window installer, my
word document appears blank. Please help.

Have you recently updated or upgraded MS Office? Have you recently
installed any other software? From your original posting, my kneejerk
reaction is that MS Word is corrupted. It thinks that it is missing some
critical piece of its "self" to process in your document. You can try
uninstalling then re-installing Word to see if that clears the issue. If
that doesn't work, repost a comment to this thread and we'll think more about
it.
