I cannot play sound file off a CD slide show

I cannot play sound file off a CD slide show.
The cd sound works on other computers but not mine.
On my computer I get a message that no program is registered to open this
file.

That's an odd error. How did you insert the sound into the presentation?
What type of sound file is it?

It’s a WAV file, the cd is part of a training package I bought. It worked on
2 other computers with the same Vista operating program but didn’t work on my
computer. Thanks for the help.

But the PPT file itself plays on your computer?

In that case, I'd probably update Windows Media Player. That should update
the codecs and the file associations -- maybe that will help allow the sound
to play.
