I cannot save a file in Corel 8

I cannot save or save as files, program locks up, maybe also on auto save. I
can import or paste from Power Point but then I cannot save it to use. I will
see the first box for save as then it goes to next box and there is no "save"
button. Program starts out with "Utility which indexes corel media folders
has stopped working." Then recomends downloading a fix from Corel. None
available. Vista Home Premium OS, Brother MFC 845 USB to this machine,
wireless for laptop. Reset compatibility, no help. Re-installed Corel both
auto and manual. Program will not run without cd. I can open older files from
Corel 8 (done on another computer). I am not running any Norton products.

I'm afraid you've gotten lost in the wilds of the internet.

This is a forum for Macintosh versions of PowerPoint.

Corel does have its own support forums/newsgroups. You might want to search for
them in Google Groups.
