I cannot see pictures already inserted in documents.

In Publisher and Word, graphics already inserted into documents are not
visible. In Publisher's Graphics Manager they are shown in thumbnail view
but not on the actual document.

Everything prints accurately but as I only view the handles of the photos, I
cannot edit anything.

View, pictures, detailed display.
If this is not the solution, slide the acceleration down on your video adapter,
control panel, display folder, settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab.
If this works, go to the manufacturer's web site of your adapter and look around for
an updated driver.

I have been experiencing this problem too. I have managed to correct this
behaviour by changing my default printer to a colour one, an Epson Stylus
Photo 915. ( I run more than one printer- the default one was an Epson
EPL5900 - black and white!)
I'm not sure why this works but I believe it may be something to do with
epsons color matching and my graphics card (radeon 9600 series 256 mb)

Another workaround I found was to change my graphics settings to standard
driver by disabling my graphics card driver. (Obviously not the best solution)

Any comments from any MVPs ??? (All drivers recently updated but only my own
fixes above actually work)

Hope this sets you on the right track
