After I download my updated website, I cannot view it. I get a 403 Forbindden
error. This has never happened before.

Where did you publish it to on your local machine?

There are a number of things that could cause this - is the web on the
internet where we might view it?

I hope you now realize I haven't got a clue, because I didn't even know I
publish on my local machine.

I go to my remote website, sign in, publish from local to remote and then
hit 'publish web site'. It does it's download thing and then I usually go to
review remote site, that's where it tells me I'm not authorized to view this
website. It tells me the same thing when I got to another machine to look at
it.

Ok, most likely your home page is not named as required by your web host.
Can you provide the name of one of your pages?

homepage.htm It used to be called index.htm but I changed it to avoid
downloading the old instead of the new page.

You need to have your host check this.

Thank you Thomas and Windsun. I renamed my file to 'index.htm' and now I can
see the new results. It's still giving me grief over the FrontPage 'parse'
error, but it is working. I know I have to turn off my firewall to load the
pages, so I don't know why it's still telling me that. Oh well, I'll figure
it out.

I don't know where you get your patience to deal with people like me, but
I'm glad you do.

Thank you again! You're life savers!
