I can't access office online from any office program. I need help

I can no longer access the Online portion of Help from any program in Office.
I can access the internet and I can use the offline Help that comes with each
program, but I don't have access to the Online Help. It stopped functioning
about a year ago and I can't seem to get it to work.

DL: Thanks, but I've tried Detect/Repair several times to no avail. I've even
turned off the firewall, and that's not helped. I've even uninstlled and
re-installed MS Office, and that didn't work.

I do. It's McAfee. However, I've turned it off and that did not solve the
problem.

line content help directly through any of the programs in MS Office. I don’t
get error messages when I select the link provided for on-line content help,
the program simply doesn’t respond and I have to use IE directly to access
that on-line content help page.

Thanks for posting back, and you're welcome!
I came up with this thread when searching for the same problem. I, too, ran
detect and repair several times, but i haven't gone so far as to uninstall &
reinstall office. I followed Bob's instructions to go to
Tools/Option/General/Service Option/Online Content. Everything was already
checked. However, I cleared the check boxes, then closed and reopened Word.
Then, i went back and checked all of the boxes. I closed and reopened Word
and the problem was fixed.

Just wanted anyone else who looks for a thread like this to see that this
resolved the issue, at least for me. Thanks, Bob!

I have bumped into this problem as well, however after trying what Bob
suggested, it still doesnt work. In every Office program, The Microsoft
Office Online is still greyed out and unavailable...

"Check the following Registry
Key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\Internet\UseOnlineContent

The REG_DWORD value should be 1 if you want to use Online Content.
