I can't activate office 2007

I have been trying to activate office 2007 but not having any luck I keep
geting the message "The activation wizard is unable to find a connection to
the internet. Please make sure your connection is working properly and retry
activation in a few minutes" but after 2 days I am getting a bit tired with
this if this is how microsoft is I think I will have to go back to the old
Office

the directions under resolution. I used method 2-

Works great, for regular desktops too-not just terminal servers; that
key is the "key"-
