I can't edit my document in Word 2007

Vista Ultimate, Office enterprize 2007


I can't use my mouse to move text

No way to select (highlight) what I want to edit.
I clicked the Office button and then clicked Word Options.
Word displays the Word Options dialog box.
At the side of the dialog box I can't move the mouse or arrow keys to click
on the advanced tab, that probably the way to solve the problem.

I used the original DVD for repairing Word, but the problem still exist.
I can highlight the document (Ctrl +A) and move the text to another Office
Program and edit (highlight) a part of the document by the normal way.

Another problem that the Word 2007 closing ofen and looking for a solution
but never find it.

Thank's the asrticle help me to solve the problem, and this was in Hebrew.
There was two posibilities 1/ Do it your self or whit "Fix it" program that
you dowloed and run it: Article no. 940791

This is the 2nd time this problem has happened to me. The 1st time a MS
engineer told me my profile had been corrupted and I would have to delete the
whole profile. ended up re-installing Windows and everything! This fix is
excellent, but why does the problem occur in the first place? Is this a
'feature' of Word 2007?

It seems to happen when an update is installed while Word is open. If you
have Windows Update set to download and install updates automatically, this
may be the problem.

The situation we've heard about most often is that Word was still
running when Microsoft Update installed some patch, maybe overnight.
Essentially, though, we don't know what causes it.

The Data key in the registry that becomes corrupted isn't new in Word
2007. The fix of deleting it and letting Word rebuild it has been
known for a long time (see
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm), but Word
2007 seems to react to the corruptions with worse symptoms than
previous versions.
