If I open Microsoft Word from the Menu, I get this message:
Microsoft Word for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close.
If I hit the send error report that is shown on the box then I get
directed
to a site that tells me that Office 2000 has experienced a crash and they
do
not have any "fix" for this situation.
But if I try to open a document that I had already done before and saved
in
Microsoft Word 2000 , I get this message:
Microsoft Office Word has not been installed for the current usere. Please
run setup to install the application.
I have already tried that suggestion numerous times which explains why I
have uninstalled and reinstalled and even tried the repair option to no
avail.
I do not understand why this is occurring as I am the only user on this
computer and all the other programs which were ion the same disk and
nstalled
at the same time ( ie, excel, powerpoint) are working properly.
Can you help me??? It is very frustrating and I have reports to get done.

I have installed Office 2000 Standard complete version and I get the
message
that it was installed completely. However, when I try to open Microsoft
Word
it will not open. I get a message to install the program. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling and even repair/reinstall several times
to
no
avail. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to remedy the
situation?
