I can't "Onpen" or "Save As" a file in Office Word or Excel

After using Office Professional Edition 2003 for quite some time, I can no
longer "Open" a file or "Save As" a file from within Word or Excel, and when
I try, the program locks up. I have deleted and reinstalled the program and
have downloaded SP2. Nothing helps. Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem, and I just tried what the MS said to do and now it
works...
