I cant rename Project

Hi guys,

I am currently using Project server 2003 When i tried renaming the
project i had previously published, i ended up with two projects, with
the old project still on the project server.
I also noticed that after publishing the new renamed project my team
member couldn't find on their task page.

How can resolve these problems.

Thanks

Hi,

Could you please tell us how you tried to rename the project? Did you use
the Project Renaming Tool? Note that using the Project Renaming Tool from
Microsoft
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c4a6a749-f0f...)
is the only way I would recommend to do this.

Let us know.

I'll use the project renaming tool as recommended.

Many thanks

Ayowolep:

Sounds like you may have goofed along the way. First, you should save a
backup copy of the original plan and then delete it from the server. Then
you must use Collaborate > Publish > Republish and republish all assignments
in the renamed plan selecting to overwrite actual work in the timesheet
check box.
