I can't see my emails even though they're being downloaded!

incidently this coincides with some bloody ms update install... now i cant
see the emails although they are being downloaded- it shows 1 of 32 etc etc
but then they never actally appear in my inbox! This is incredibly
frustrating! I am running MS Outlook 2003 i think and using XP.

Then remove the last update and see if the behaviour goes back to normal.
