I can't select "EXCEL options" or "WORD options' in Office 2007 tr

' just installed the trial of Office 2007. We are testing to see if it's
something we are going to need to upgrade to. When I click the EXCEL options
from the menu, I am not able to click anything after that comes up but the
resource section which is already highlighted when I come in. I wanted to
click popular and trust center but they are greyed out and not clickable. Is
this because its the trial issue or is there a problem?

After doing some more testing I've found I cant type anything at all in EXCEL
or WORD. I try and type in a cell in EXCEL and it does nothing like it is
locked. Is this the way the trial works or did it just install wrong? I did
a custom install and selected what I wanted and don't know if that has
anything to do with it or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you then reboot the computer?
