I can't type anything because it says this document has been lock.

I can type anything into word now because it says at the bottom of my screen
that i have a lock on the document. What do i do to unlock it?

Try posting your question in the Microsoft Word Newsgroup... However, you
might try closing the document, then find the file in explorer and check the
file attributes to be sure that the file is not set to read only.

Some level of document protection has been turned on in your document.
Click Help, Microsoft Word Help, click the Index tab, type "lock", click
Search and you'll get a whole bunch of stuff to read.
