I can't use Word at all

Everytime I try to open ANY document or use ANY template, I get the box that
asks me whether or not I want to send an error report to MS. Then it shuts
Word down and restarts Word, saying it will try to "restore" my document.
And then it shuts itself down again, and the cycle continues until I can
completely shut Word down.
Any ideas?

When that article was written, Word 2000 was the latest version. But it
applies to ALL versions of Word.
