I could look for the answer but...

....let's face it; there are way too many questions posted here! So, perhaps
somone will be kind enough to answer my question.

My question has to do with entering the same basic data more than once. For
example, I work for a commercial printer and I would like to enter all the
data from our press runs into a database. So I key in the info for press run
#1 and now I would like to enter the data for run #2. Run #2 has exactly the
same press setup as Run #1 did but with a few differences (such as the number
of copies ordered, the amount of waste, etc.) In a sense, I just need to
duplicate the some of the fields from the Run #1 record and add the data
specific to Run #2. Can anyone point me in the correct direction as to where
I can find an answer? Or even better, just tell me how to go about this?

Steven,

Were you aware that these groups are supported by unpaid volunteers?

Although a Microsoft employee will occasionally drop in, these groups are
*not* supported by Microsoft.

Reposting after only 22 minutes is being just a tad too impatient.

And there is an unwritten understanding here that we help those that at
least try to help themselves first.

The excuse that there are too many messages doesn't hold water. All
newsgroup readers have a search function that will go through thousands of
messages in only seconds. Also, Google has an excellent search engine for
newsgroups.

And posting to your own message (or using an identical subject) is almost a
sure way to *never* get an answer. It makes your question look like it has
already been answered. A lot of people skip over answered questions only
looking for unanswered questions.

If you are new to using technical newsgroups, you might take a minute to
look at http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette.htm.

Take a look at the Knowledge Base article at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;210236.

It has the information you seek.

Good luck.

Does that mean that it has become a written rule? <smile>
