I could not see figures

I don't know what happen but I could not see images which
I insert in my word document. They are there for sure
because when I open them on other computer I could see
them.
What can I do to see them on my computer

Uncheck tools > options > view > picture placeholders.

Tools | Options | View:

1. Check the box for "Drawings" (applies to "floating," "wrapped" graphics).

2. Clear the check box for "Picture placeholders" (applies to inline
graphics).

Note that you won't see wrapped graphics (or any other object in the drawing
layer) in Normal view.
