First I put in the address Ed gave msnews.microsoft.com and got the MSN
search page, went over a few pages, and ended up with a new Hotmail account
(my old one and passport account had long expired). Then, I caught on it was
probably a server to put in Outlook Express to get the microsoft newsgroups!

Which, of course it is. This is so much better, easier and faster than on
google.

I wonder what else is simplier and easier and right in front of me I just
don't know about or aren't seeing (LOL)

You might want to change the email address you're using - you don't have to
use a valid one if you don't want to; if you do, I would suggest adding
*NOSPAM* or similar just after the @ sign, so that robots crawling the
groups looking for valid email addresses to send spam email to won't find
you and spam you to kingdom come.
