i dont have borders on format how do i get them

On my format button in microsoft word i dont have a borders option, i have no
idea why or how to get it can anyone help, thanks yvette

Are you saying you don't have the Borders and Shading item on your Format
menu? If so, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/RestoreMenuCmd.htm.
Or are you saying you don't have the Borders button on your Formatting
toolbar? If so, and if this is Word 2002 or 2003, click the arrow at the end
of the toolbar, choose Add or Remove Buttons, then Formatting, then click
the Borders button to add it. If it's an earlier version, see
