I don't see all program when I click on "All Programs" Why?

Using Vista on a Lenovo laptop. When I used to click on the Start button and
then clicked on "All Programs" I actually saw all available programs and ,
for example, could click on Excel to go to a new Excel spreadsheet. Now when
I click on "All Programs" I only get a few programs and few file folders
listed. To get to a new word document for example, I have to open an
existing word document and then start a new document from there. I'd like to
restore the full list of programs and related file folders (like accessories)
to my start button-"All Programs" . Any thoughts?

Try posting this to a group that supports Windows Vista -
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general may be a good place to start.

I will try that although I don't know how to get to
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general. I will tinker around and see if I
can find that group. -Pilot

that seems to work with Excel and Powerpoint, but in Word it takes me to a
list of Word documents. I have used that in the past as a quicker way to get
to a program, but would still rather have my programs listed in the "all
Programs" list. Thanks for trying. someone else suggested I try posting my
question in the group "microsoft.public.windows.vista.general". If I can
figure out how to get there I will try that. as well. Pilot

Try looking under "Windows"!!!!!?????!!!!!!

Or even better, ditch the awful web interface completely and use a news
reader.
