get rid of the Help window in Microsoft Office 2004 for the Mac?
I've been using MS-DOS since v1.0, MS Windows since v1.0, and Word, etc.
since they were born, so you'd think I could figure this out.
In Word (or any other Office app), when I click on Help -> Word Help, a nice
little window scrolls down from the menu bar. It can't be moved, there is no
window frame to speak of so the OS-provided buttons aren't present, and
there's no "Close", "Exit", "Done", etc button within the window contents nor
as menu items in Word's menus. Neither Cmd-W nor Esc do anything useful.
Of course, the help contents themselves don't tell one how to close the
window.
Given the obviousness of this problem, it seems to me that I may be "lucky"
in having this problem. The only thing out of the ordinary about this Mac is
that I sometimes run with two monitors -- the LCD built into the Powerbook
and an attached CRT.
Any ideas?
