Sorry,

I am on my 2nd installation disc, and I keep getting an error telling me
that the installation needs a cab file to continue. I searched the
installation disc and found the file. The installation does not contine even
though the file is in the location it is looking at.

2nd installation disk of what program?
What cab file?

I am trying to install Frontpage 2003 Full Version onto a machine running
windows xp home edition. I also have office 2000 professional installed on
this machine. I have enough component resources to run frontpage 2003. The
install gets to a point where it is looking for V3561403.CAB file. After
several attempts to locate the file on the frontpage 2003 installation disc
(E:), it still does not install. I then cancel out of the installation
process. This is the second disc I try thinking that the first was defective.

It's probably looking for the Office 2000 disk to get the cab file. Trying
inserting that disk when the error comes up. If that doesn't help, try
posting in the Office newsgroup.

Hey Tom,

Found a way around problem. I read a post from 9/14/04 that suggested the
installation software be copied to hard drive. It worked!! Copied
installation disk files to hard drive, removed disk from cd rom and ran
setup.exe, not one hiccup. My cd rom is a 48X but there have been issues with
other users and their cd rom not reding installation files. Thought I would
post in case someone may encounter similar problem in future.

Happy in software land again,

Wayne
