I get internal error 2349 when installing Publisher 2000.

Do you have Norton? Turn it off, then install Publisher.
Is this disk 2? You may get this error if you are installing from a DVD or CD-RW
drive. A workaround is to install from a CD-ROM drive.
The error can appear if the disk is dirty.
You receive an "Error 2349: Copy Resumed With Different Info" error message when you
install Office 2000

My internal error 2349 was caused by a dirty CDROM disk. I have a CDROM
drive, so the drive issue wasnt the cause. The issue was with Publisher on
disk 2, as I took time to do maintenance of each office program. It sounded
like a read error when the disk was reading, which caused me to glance at the
disk. I was able to then do all udates, including service packs 3.
