I did a mail nerge document in word, taking data from excel. Among the fields
I took was a date field dd/mm/yyyy. When the dates merged over I had awful
difficulty getting the right format - got serial strings etc, then I changed
the format in excel to 02 June 2006.. When I merged this I got the day of teh
week, follwed by the date as I wanted it. but guess what - THE DAY IS WRONG!!
Word is telling me it was a Saturday - but it was Friday!!! Can anyone help??

On my calendar it was a Friday. Are we living in different worlds?

FWIW, *July* 2 was a Sunday.

Is this a consistent error? Have you rebooted/restarted your PC today? Is
the PC BIOS calendar correct?

Hi Terry
I'm getting completely confused now as I see in my paper diary they ahve an
error in 2007.. anyway the original item was brought to my attention because
the merge document I issued was re school enrollments and a proud Dad drew
the incorrect day to my attention - interestingly none of the other dozen or
so seem to have noticed what day their kids were born on!
Anyway thanks for your repl bt maybe you can help me - where do I find the
PC BIOS calendar??
Many thanks

Valerie

Are you using Office (Word) 2007 beta?

Just interrupt you PC booting (usually the Delete Key) and look in BIOS. It
will show the current date and time. Is it correct?
