I got some cool pics at work, sent them to my home computer and am told I
don't have the necessary Powerpoint to open them. Can I download this from
somewhere? Seems like I shouldn't need a computer degree to find this out?
Why is there no contact address under the contact link, just a dozen other
links?

You don't need a computer degree and I don't have one, but
at the same time this is a Microsoft Access (the database)
newsgroup. Why post Powerpoint stuff here? Sorry, I'm not
trying to be awkward, I just don't see what Access has to do
with Powerpoint.

Microsoft's Help system has landed you in the wrong newsgroup: this
one is for the database program Microsoft Access.

Please use the dropdown box (the one that says "Access" by default)
to select a more appropriate newsgroup, such as a Powerpoint group.

PowerPoint is a part of the Microsoft Office Pro suite, and can be
purchased on its own; it is needed to open Powerpoint files. If the
pictures were generated in some other program then it may not be
necessary to use Powerpoint to open them; you might ask in the
Powerpoint newsgroup, but when you do, please specify the file type
(the three-letter extension will help) of the file you've been sent.
