I have a CD which has Access 2002 databases. I am trying to open.

I am taking an Access 2002 course and the course CD has databases which we
are using. I am unable to open them in Access 2000. Is there any way to
open them in Access 2000 or do I have to use 2002.

Hi,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

In Access 2002, you will need to convert the database to 2000 format. To
do so, open the database in Access 2002. On the menu bar, go to Tools,
Database Utilities, Convert Database, To Access 2000 File Format.

In the "Convert Database Into" window, name and save the Access 2000
formatted copy. This way you will have both a 2002 and a 2000 format copy.
