I have a doubt regarding Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007 is signed into my Gmail account all the time. Wheneve
someone sends me a mail, I immediately get it on Gmail (if it is open i
my browser), but it still doesn't come in Outlook 2007 even after 5-1
minutes. But, I want to be alerted IMMEDIATELY about when I am receivin
a mail and I DON'T want to open Gmail all the time... how do I fix thi
issue with Outlook 2007?

Thank you very much in advance

You can't. Mail clients don't work that way.

The ISP is only polled periodically by Outlook. You WON'T get
"immediately" using GMAIL(or other ISP) and Outlook.

And I'll add that while you can configure the frequency of the polling, you
really shouldn't set it to be any more often than every 5 minutes.

If you need to be notified of GMail messages more often than that, but don't
want your browser open, then maybe use the GMail Notifier
(http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper/notifier_windows.html)

If you get notified of a new message but it hasn't arrived in Outlook yet,
you can press F9 in Outlook to initiate a send/receive.

Thank you for telling me how to initiate the send/receive manually..
but isn't there a way of keeping send/receive on ALL the time? Then
could probably fix this issue!

Thanks again

As you have allready been advised - NO - the auto send receive settings
should be set for no less than 10 mins, any less can cause resource issues.
Email is not, despite what you may think, an instant communication method.
If you want instant communication use a phone or fax.
