i have a question

I agree with Joseph. I'd like to also ask why so many
people who reply to posts seem to have their newsreaders
configured to automatically add the ">" thingys to the
original message? This makes it more difficult to read the
original message.

Granted, the web-based method of replying to a message
automatically includes these stupid symbols (why is this
so Microsoft?), but if you are using a newsreader, such as
Outlook Express, it is certainly possible to configure it
so that it does not include ">".

Note: It is important to include the original message,
because some newsgroup servers seem to "lose" the original
message. Comcast makes the Giganews server available to
its customers. I'm finding that quite frequently I see a
reply, but I never see the original message. Attempts to
ask Comcast Tech. support why this is so are fruitless--
they simply answer that they don't provide any support for
Giganews.

Why do so many people fail to use the shift key when
posting a message?

It seems to me that if they want their message read,
they would want to
make it easy to read. Ignoring the accepted conventions
of capitalization
(THIS ALSO ENCLUDES ALL CAPS) just does not seem to make
sense. Are people really that lazy.
