Hi, gbc65. It's possible if you have both MS Windows 2000 Multilanguage Version and MS Office 2000 with Multilanguage Pack. I think earlier and later versions of Office were only available as single-language programs.

AFAIK, there is no such thing for 98 as it was only available for Volume or
Open licence versions. And, even if there was, you wouldn't have it (as VL
and OL licensed machines cannot be taken from the site they're licensed to).
If you want Office in English, you must purchase the full English version
(as you cannot upgrade between different languages) of either 2000 or XP
(Office 2003 cannot run under 98) and install it clean (i.e. uninstalling
the German version first) to avoid conflicts. Please be aware that both 2000
and XP are long discontinued and the only place you're likely to find them
is eBay.

I am working in Germany and installed a German version of Office 2007, which
our company bought. Being an english native speaker, I then installed an
english language pack. But some of the functions are still in German! For
example, when I try to apply a multi level list to get numbered headings i.e.

1 Heading 1

1.1 Heading 2

1.1.1 Heading 3

this option uses the german word for heading

1 Überschrift 1 etc

not the english one, but the shortcut buttons in Styles are in English and
refuse to become numbered headings.

Does anyone have a solution for this??
