I have hotmail. Can I switch to Outlook? How do I do that?

I recently bought an IBM pc. When I set it up I choose Hotmail for my
e-mail. Now I wish that I was using Outlook instead. How do I use Outlook
instead of Hotmail? Can I still keep my hotmail e-mail address?

The best answers to questions about Outlook are likely to be got from an
Outlook newsgroup, such as microsoft.public.outlook.general, rather than
from an Access newsgroup such as this one.

Microsoft's Help system has landed you in the wrong newsgroup: this
one is for the database program Microsoft Access.

Please use the dropdown box (the one that says "Access" by default)
to select a more appropriate newsgroup, microsoft.public.outlook for
example.

Do note that Hotmail is an Internet Service Provider that runs on host
computers; Outlook is a local program which runs on your PC. They are
NOT equivalent or substitutes for one another.
