I have Office 2000 and no CD rom to finish the install, what do I.

I need help..... I bought a computer used from the newspaper and the owner
told me it has Microsoft Office 2000 Pro install and all it components.
Well, now that I need to use the MS Office 2000 it tries to finish the
installment and asks for the CD rom. I was not given any discs. What do I
do? I tried to uninstall Office 2000 but it won't even let me do that
without a dic. I do own a copy of Office 97 Pro will that help me any?

You need to contact the vendor and demand that they either give you all the
discs, or a full refund as you are in possession of illegal software. They
advertised the system as having Office and, as you cannot use it, to all
intents and purposes, it does not have Office. If the software was supplied
with the system when the the seller purchased it, then it is considered to
be OEM and may not be installed on any other system. Even the retail version
may not be installed on more than one system of the same type (i.e. two
desktops or two laptops/portables).
