The link use to be on the update site to download the cd's but now it's gone.

There was never (as far as I know, legally) a link to download CDs for
Microsoft Office.

I don't believe Microsoft offers replacement for Office 2000 CDs any longer,
so your best bet might be to go to a trusted eBayer to find valid CDs for
the specific version you have.

?? You can't download CD's. As the software is many years out of
support, perhaps you may find replacement CD's for sale on Ebay?

Links to download all office versions prior to 2007 have all gone - maybe
available if you have an MSDN subscription.
One of the reasons for creating backup copies of CD's

Was vaccuming car and put reel of cd's (with nice software and much personal
data) "in a safe place" on top of vaccum cleaner. Then drove off. Returning
later not to find them anymore. I should went online then to download it as
it was 3 years ago but my computer ran fine and recently had a crashed
hard-drive. No the link isn't there anymore. So......that's the story. :(

Eh? Where the CD's on the car roof or what? How the hell did you lose Cd's
at the CAR WASH?

Might be a good time to upgrade. Otoh, you should be able to buy a similar
product fairly cheaply on Ebay or Amazon Marketplace.

Yes, I'm going to have to soon. For now, I've reinstalled win2K (please, no
laughing) and used data from old drive and retrieved a back-up of the old
reg. Ta dah! , it worked and office worked after that but with some weird
behavior. But yes, an upgrade is in order here...thanks for your reply

Nothing wrong with Win2K or Office 2K for that matter. I drive a fifteen
year old car. Lots of people do.
