I have two questions

R

robin

Where in Office 2007 is the Options or Preferences?
Where is the "X" like in Office 2003 to close one document and open another
without closing the whole program?

and there really needs to be a button when first installed to show this or
at least the X needs to show up and so far all i see is the X to totally
close the program.

Also when i said I would beta test it -micorosoft asked for feedback and I
do not see where that is.

thanks

Click the Office button (yes, the round thing with the Office symbol is
a button). There you have Options on the bottom right of the menu that
options.
Also, there is the Close command there which is the equivalent of the X
you are looking for.

in that Office button is a Close- that close- closes the whole program. I
do not want to close the whole program, all I want to do is close the
document I am working on and open another one

ooops i take that back it only closes the document but there really should
be an option to have a Quick button to just close it.
No one is even going to realize that is where the main options are.

There is a button called "Close" in the Office button menu. Left hand
side, bottom. You used the "Exit" button on the bottom right.

Right-click the close button and say add to QAT.
Which program are you talking about btw? There is another option, but it
depends on the program.
