What type of email account do you have?
What is "receive directly from the server"? Do you mean when you use a web
browser to read mail?
Are they legit mail or spam? How large?
Do you have outlook set to leave mail on the server or delete it after
downloading?
When this happens to legit mail, it means outlook is having problems marking
the mail as downloaded or deleting it from the server.

i am using outlook 2003. when i click send/receive, i keep getting the
same
20 emails ( all 20 with photo attchments) sent to me repeatedly, even
though
i have opened them numerous times. this does not happen when i receive
emails
directly from the server.
