I keep getting the same email message overand over again - how can I make it stop coming in?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Email Client: pop I received an email about 5 hours ago with a large file attached. The same message has been coming in over and over again and I can't get it to stop. Is this a problem on my end or the sender's? I can send emails out and get emails coming in, but it's really clogging my inbox. I've quit Entourage and opened it up again, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It's impossible to tell.
It could be a problem on the sender's end (I've seen it before) or the
message is corrupted on your server and redownloading forever.
If you can connect through webmail, use it to delete the message
straight from the server.

I doubt it has anything to do with Entourage itself.

I can connect through webmail, but I'm not sure how to delete the message straight from the server - can you explain how to do that? Thanks!

When you go to webmail, whatever you do there is "straight from the
server." Do you see multiple copies of this offending email or just one?
If you see multiple copies, the problem probably lies outside your
control (someone else's system is sending you multiple copies). If you
only see one, the problem is at your end and deleting the message should
(hopefully, keep your fingers crossed) take care of it. You can delete
the message by either clicking the check box next to the message and
clicking the delete button, or clicking on the message to open and
clicking the delete button.

Webmail is essentially a direct connection to the server.
Delete the message from there.

Problem solved - you were correct, it was an issue with the sender's email. I did have several copies of the same email, not just one. Once they deleted the message from their server it stopped sending it. Thanks very much for your help. Good knowledge to have now.
