i like to have grid layout in office to place content

I feel it will be greate if there is grid like layout in word for positioning
the content

There is one for positioning objects, namely, the document grid.
On the Drawing toolbar, click Draw, and then click Grid. Specify the
settings that you want.

To save the settings to the template, click the Default button; to
save them to the current document, just click OK. (Note that whether
the grid is *displayed* or not is a global setting, though.)

i think it is for positioning the objects, but i want for a paragraph,
heading etc, like in visualstudio.NET editor.

There is no grid for text placement, no. The best you can do is to set
Line Spacing to "Exactly" and specify the desired value. Then you also
have to set Spacing Before (or Spacing After) to an integer multiple
of that value.

And of course there is a grid for Asian languages that use this type of
positioning for characters.
