All of a sudden I can no longer use enter to skip down to

Me too and I've been trying very hard to find answers for
this. I have no enter key function in any word document,
notepad, works or email. It always works once I reboot
but once I go online, it stops working in all documents.
Wierd. It's very frustrating. Please let me know if you
get an answer and I'll do the same.
I posted this in another forum and here's the advice I
was given:
Go into control panel and check out the regional settings
to see if anything is being lodged in the keyboard
configuration.
Now, I asked the poster to elaborate a little more. I
found the settings but there is nothing in the keyboard
area to show configurations that I'm aware of. I'm using
XP by the way.

In Word, Enter is _not_ for skipping down to the line below. It is to insert
a paragraph mark. To move within typed text, use the arrow keys.
To the person who posted "me too"...
Your problem sounds like something from spyware or a virus.

I have tried so many things, to no avail. I did download
Spybot some time ago and use it about once a week or
every other week generally. I never thought to run it
with this particular problem. I did and IT FIXED IT for
me. Your suggestion worked and I thank you for taking
away this headache. You're the best!!!
