I miss a built-in style in word 2003 (from word 97)

We recently upgrated from Word 97 to Word 2003.

I have a template, where I use the style toc1. Now this
template has been moved to word 2003 and the style is not
there???

If I open an old 97-document, where the style has been
used, the style is still on the text where it was used,
but not available for new text in the style area. Can
anyone help me with this problem?

I am new at this and have just found out about these
newsgroups, so I hope that you will forgive me if there
are any rules that I didn't know about.

Thanks in advance

Dorte

Check under Tools > Options > Compatibility (tab) to customize Word 2003 to
certain specifications of Word 97.

The style is still there. The problem is that, even if you display "All
Styles" in Word 2002/2003, Word doesn't really display *all styles.* You
have to gain access to the actual old-fashioned style dialog. One way to do
this is through the "Custom" setting at the bottom of the Styles &
Formatting task pane. Another way is to add the old-fashioned Format Style
command to a toolbar or menu.
