I modified something today, how do I get back to the original?

I modified something today and thought I saved it. How can I get back to the
original?

If you didn't save the modification, then it should still be the
original. If you saved something OVER the original, it is toast,
retrieve from the backup copy.

Your problem description is a little confusing. So, if like Bob said, if you
are trying to go back to your original version and you are running Vista
Business or Ultimate, you can right-click on the file and choose "Restore
previous versions."
