You go to the nearest or your favorite computer store and purchase one with actual money

In
how do i get a product key for office home and student

You have to buy a copy. Your local school may have deals on the student
version if you're a student. You can buy copys at legit online sites or your
local software store for the home version.

"In solving a problem of this sort, the grand thing is to be able to reason
backwards. That is a very useful accomplishment, and a
very easy one, but people do not practise it much. In the every-day affairs
of life it is more useful to reason forwards, and so
the other comes to be neglected. There are fifty who can reason
synthetically for one who can reason analytically." - Sherlock

If you own a copy of the product, there should be a product key on the
package. It will not be the same as the key for the Windows operating
system.

Could you be a little more clear about what you own and why you don't
have a product key?

You can purchase just the key from Microsoft online but I would recommend
that you go to the nearest store (or Amazon online since they have pretty
good prices) and purchase the Home and Student version which includes the
installation media. If you purchase the online trial activation it can only
be installed on that one computer and if the computer dies the next day,
that license is then no good as it is equivalent to an OEM license. The
retail version can be installed on up to three computers simultaneously in
the same household and used for non-commercial purposes.

Before you install any retail version of Office, always uninstall the trial
version first.
